NICO CAPRIOTTI

Born and raised in Oregon, I’ve spent most of my life drawing and building my artistic skills to where they are today. If I’m not drawing and watching anime, I’m playing video games, adventuring in D&D, reading comics, or hiking.

In 2020 I began tattoo school in Oregon, graduating later that same year, and continued to work at that studio where I was able to spend time growing my foundational, practical, and business skills.

From 2022 through 2024, I owned my own studio where I focused on creating a space that was not only judgment free but welcoming and safe, particularly for those who haven’t always felt comfortable in traditional tattoo environments. During this time, I continued to grow my craft by working closely with other tattoo artists, while also building practical experience alongside estheticians to better support and protect my clients’ skin health.

I am a Certified Advanced Esthetician and graduate of the Portland Aesthetics Institute, with specialized knowledge in skin health and laser treatments. I use this expertise to help guide my clients through their tattoo journey, prioritizing both the quality of the artwork and the long-term health of their skin.

While I loved having a space of my own, I realized that the solo game wasn’t for me as I missed the connection and vibrancy of having other artists to work alongside. In 2025 I joined the crew of Upper Moon Tattoo in North Portland and found a home with the incredible artists there. I was able to hone in on skills I’ve been striving to build, work with an array of talented artists, and welcome more people into my client base.

Due to life’s many unexpected opportunities, I am now located in Charlottesville Virginia and am excited to build a new home here. I am excited to bring all that I’ve learned to the East Coast and am eager to learn what the East Coast artists have to teach me as well.

I have endless support and trust from every person I work with, and am deeply honored to be where I am today. I’m excited to continue this lifelong journey, to see where it brings me, and how I will grow from it. Most of all, I’m grateful for you as I would not be here without clients trusting me with their visions.
